With some extreme weather and wind conditions, South Africa is ideally suited for small wind turbines. Added to this is the unsatisfactory electricity situation throughout the country. The power is switched off several times a day without prior notice \u2013 this is known as loadshedding. To prevent such complete blackouts, both companies and private households often resort to diesel generators, which are harmful to the environment and health.<\/p>\t\t\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

More and more South Africans are aware of this and are taking a more sustainable path, not least due to the new political stance on renewable energies.\u00a0Our customer, the V&A Waterfront, ordered four LS Double Helix 1.0 small wind turbines from us, which will be installed at the beginning of 2024 in Cape Town\u2019s most popular attraction for locals and tourists alike \u2013 the V&A Waterfront.<\/p>\t\t\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The installation of our LS Double Helix 1.0 turbines is scheduled for February\/March 2024. We are already looking forward to the upcoming installation and to our vertical-axis wind turbines in Savonius design soon generating electricity in an attractive location and turning their meditative laps.<\/p>\t\t\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
